One Olmsted – Olmsted County’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiative – is about envisioning and developing a workplace and community where everyone is treated equitably. Olmsted County staff continue to make progress toward this vision and some highlights of their work in 2024 are noted below.
PB Reporting: "A partnership between the Zumbro Valley Medical Society and the PathCheck Foundation, an open-source software nonprofit, aims to create a digital platform to boost care coordination for people experiencing homelessness."
The framework defines structural racism as the “totality of ways in which societies foster racial discrimination through mutually reinforcing systems of housing, education, employment, earnings, benefits, credit, media, health care and criminal justice.”

Rochester Area Foundation Support Message
1. CMRC proposal was not selected for funding 2023-11-10 but it did receive strong consideration from Mayo social impact review panel.
2. Community Health Collaboration Portal has been selected to second round and pitched to Mayo panel 2023-10-24. Pitch format to follow Mayo Clinic's Walleye Tank style.

Olmsted County has started to receive settlement funds through the State of Minnesota, which has signed onto several national settlements with opioid manufacturers and distributors.
1. The commissioners allotted $11.3 million to the following initiatives: Development of affordable home ownership programs - $4.9 million. Groundwater protection and soil health program - $2 million. Development of Graham Park exhibition center - $4.4 million. 2. Olmsted County’s latest video provides insight into how we are using nearly $31 million in federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
