We are are looking for community participation. This is a committee that's built around parent and student participation. We are inviting all community members and stakeholders to participate and join the CFT to take meaningful step's to abolish racism in Rochester Public Schools.
Since the six-year Office Of Civil Rights investigation and it's discovering glaring issues concerning racial disparities in our education system, we have been working to build a committee that connects to the community as a resource and powerful force to remedy these issues. The OCR agreement was absolutely not enough!
Come join us to continue this work.

Please join: The Community Focus Team meeting on Monday, April 30th at 5:30pm.

"The Community Focus Team (CFT) will dedicate itself to engaging all school district stakeholders in conversations of racism and its effects regarding equity and disparity of marginalized student populations and provide advice/counsel and recommendations to the School Board to foster student success"

We have formed subcommittees focusing on outreach, data, and teacher support. The agenda for this meeting is currently being finalized.
